Take time for yourself

Take time for yourself

We all say we’re going to take time for ourselves and then we don’t. What stops us from doing this? Why do we always make time to help others but never have time for ourselves? What is so important that we neglect us more than anything else? We seem to be rushing to do this and that, but if we don’t sit and take time for ourselves, we will burn ourselves out.

We need to sit quietly in contemplation or meditation. We need to eat well, get sun and exercise. We need to socialize with friends and family. We need to just breathe and notice the moment we’re in. If we do not slow down and allow ourselves time to just be, we will make ourselves weak or worse yet, sick. Remember that a body that is not healthy is not at ease or is dis-eased. We have the ability to be strong, happy and healthy. All we need to do is take time for ourselves. Namaste
